Laura Elizabeth Glass — Development Lead + eCommerce Build
Overview
Laura Elizabeth Glass creates stunning hand-blown glass lighting, installations and accessories. Each piece is bespoke, commissioned-based, and handcrafted by Laura. A sister company, Molten, was developed to sell a new range of off-the-shelf products, and Drew+Rose was tasked with the design and build of a luxury eCommerce website to encourage people to buy the beautiful products, with the flexibility to grow and expand the range in the future.
My Role
I was the lead developer, managing a team of 3 other developers to deliver the site. I worked directly with the project manager and design team to keep the build on track, and took a lead role in speaking to the client during the process to answer questions and make them feel comfortable throughout.
What I Delivered
A fully customised Shopify eCommerce website, launched in May 2022. The site is fully responsive across all devices, with a luxury aesthetic that reflects the quality of the products. Molten has full control to manage products, shipments, and minor updates in-house, and the platform was built to allow them to quickly scale their product range as they grow.
Delivered under budget and on schedule.
